Finally got my shoe sculpture bird home!

He's made of a well kept and served black high heel. I cut the toepart away and put some feathers and wire swrils (some of which seasoned with wool or paint) instead. I tightened the body with iron wire to make it look more birdish and build him a neck and head out of gypsum and iron wire. Added a touch of paint and voilá!

Marvelous idea! If I ever want to get rid of my heeled shoes, I sure will be thinking of doing this with them! I really like the wired part!
